Mr Ziyaad Sultan is a Consultant Ophthalmologist specialising in oculoplastic, lacrimal, orbital and cataract surgery, providing advanced medical and surgical care for adults.
He studied Medicine and Surgery at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry.
After his seven years of comprehensive ophthalmology training, he undertook a further three years of intensive subspecialty fellowship training at internationally recognised centres in London and Liverpool, developing advanced expertise in complex reconstructive, functional and aesthetic peri-ocular surgery.
Mr Sultan’s NHS work is based at Aintree Hospital, Liverpool University Hospital. He is fortunate to work closely with the Liverpool Ocular Oncology Centre based at St Paul’s Eye Unit, where his practice focuses on the surgical management of ocular surface and peri-ocular tumours, including tumour removal and complex reconstruction. This work involves managing some of the most challenging cases in the region.
He has performed thousands of cataract and oculoplastic procedures, combining meticulous surgical technique with evidence-based practice to achieve safe, reliable and natural-looking outcomes.
Mr Sultan alongside his colleagues supervises fellows and specialist registrars in training and remains actively involved in teaching, audit and research within his department.
He is known for a calm, thorough and patient-centred approach, ensuring every patient receives clear communication, individualised treatment planning and the highest standard of care.
